The annual festival of Manacaud Sastha Temple began today with the traditional
kodiyettu. Manacaud Sasthavu is considered as the younger brother of Attukal Bhagavathy. The
kuthiyottam and the procession that marks the finale of Attukal Temple festival ends at Manacaud Sastha Temple. The goddess spends some time with her brother and returns to her abode every year accompanied by the
kuthiyottam.
